Take out the initial Sentinels with melee alone.

Although it's not usually practical, Sentinels can be destroyed by multiple melee attacks. You can have a bit of fun with that at the start of the level if you use a low difficulty level. Run towards the door. When you're close to it, the Sentinels start hovering across the platform within whacking distance, though a bit of jumping can help. See if you can destroy them all by whacking. It's certainly possible on Easy.

Incidentally, look down and you can see your reflection in the floor as you run around getting zapped by the Sentinels. You'll see your shield flickering. Ow, that tickles!
