BCM597 - Restless gunner Grunts in the cavern

(6:32) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. When I checked out an idea in the cavern (following the work I did for the previous movie), it turned out to be quite good fun. See also my related new article Restless gunner Grunts in the cavern.

Commentary

00:02 (Unobservant gunner) The gunners in the cavern can be extremely unobservant when not alerted, as seen here. I get right up close and he still doesn't notice me. When I brush against his Shade though, he finally reacts.

00:25 (Play 1, on the left) Melee isn't noticed however, so I'm able to stealhily melee the Shade off the edge. It happens to settle upright, which I know because a replacement gunner wakes up (though I later flew down and checked anyway). Actually he wakes quite quickly; sometimes it takes longer. I then engage in some watching and other fun, some of which highlights his oddly delayed reaction after seeing me.

The third gunner had been killed in advance by the way, to keep things simple. You see his body early on when I go behind some rocks.

04:13 (Play 2, at the broken bridge) This time I use the Shade at the broken bridge, but simply blast the Shade off, and fly down to make sure it's upright. The subsequent fun includes a spot of grenade play and following the Grunt for a bit of cyborg hunting (spoiler: he finds one).

06:05 (Finale) This last clip is from a different play using that same Shade. Just makes for an amusing ending. I'd dropped myself off on a pipe, with my Banshee.

Closing remarks For this movie I was using one of the set-ups featured in the previous movie, namely for its 4:49 clip. A pointy-backed red is the initial gunner, soon to meet a nasty end.
