BCM598 - 38-covie glasshouse battle x3, plasma combo
(7:10) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Legendary. I felt the need for a spot of room clearing, so that means firing up the glorious glasshouse battle. In this set-up, not previously featured, I face 38 jam-packed murderous covies on Legendary. They're jam-packed into the room that is; I don't mean to say they're full of jam, although it wouldn't surprise me if some of the Grunts are. I use plasma weapons throughout, a favourite combo here. See BCM573 for another such triple play if interested.

Commentary
00:02 (Play 1 - Going right) Things get off to a nice explosive start here, and it's a busy time for a while. Around 1:16 I suddenly hear a stream of needles being fired behind me and quickly take evasive action. A blue Elite sneaked up on me. Good job I reacted fast. Should've noticed him on my tracker though.
Not long afterwards, I wipe out the three glasshouse Elites with two tags from the side, and that eases my path to victory.
02:27 (Play 2 - Going left) Down the left-hand side, I deal with a succession of nasty Elite and a minor plague of Grunts, before continuing on around to tackle the rest.
I get into a spot of trouble right at the end when I'm hemmed in by a tagged Grunt and his still-fizzing plasma grenade, which landed some way past me. I recognized the danger there, and tried to stand where I thought I'd probably be okay, but his grenade does catch me. Should've jumped up onto the shelf. More fundamentally, I should've just shot the Grunt. But I do like to have a bit of fun with tagging them.
05:06 (Play 3 - Start zone) Trying to base a defence around the start zone can be rather tricky, but I get off to a good start here when I tag a Grunt and the blast takes out three Elites, including - most importantly - two reds. Another red turn up right afterwards but gets a plasma ball in the face, followed by a plasma grenade.
Around 6:16 I score a lucky tag on an Elite in the glasshouse. Didn't even see him; I was just throwing the grenade in. The blast also takes out another Elite, and it transpires that only a lone Grunt is left. After he's taken care of, there's just some grunty residue left around the periphery, plus a final Jackal.
Closing remarks Been a while since I tackled the room, but I think I did well enough. My last seven glasshouse battle movies used a different set-up, but here I again have 38 covies, including five red Elites (yikes!) and two blues. It's just that the covies are distributed a little differently. I'd had this save sitting on my Xbox for ages without using it in a movie, so I thought it was time I gave it a showing.
Different weaponry coming next in a sequel, and it's a safe bet than rockets will be involved. But then it'll be movie 600, for which I've got something special lined up!
