BCM603 - Twin bridges megabattle, left side defence x2
(6:23) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. After almost seven years (wow, such a long time!) I return to some twin bridges megabattling, namely in which I have the aid of 16 Marines against a mob of 52 covies. The save I'm using is almost the same as the one used in my very first twin bridges megabattle movie, BCM17. I've just modified it a bit. That old movie showed a single left side defence, but this time you're getting two.

Commentary
00:02 (Play 1 - Trees at back left) After releasing the 15 penned Marines and also ejecting Johnson from his Warthog, I briefly revisit the covies while the Marines are advancing, then I get back to what's going to be our basic defence spot. I initially use a needler and AR (as in BCM17 long ago), but eventually I swap my needler for a rocket launcher and we advance. Nice bit of variety I thought.
03:37 (Play 2 - Further forward, with chain-gun support) This time I drive Johnson to where he can have some fun with his chain-gun, not far from some rocks. Along with three other Marines, he's invisible to the covies, which enables him to keep on gunning. As for me, I get busy with the sniper rifle and rocket launcher I picked up from the underpass roof.
Closing remarks As I mentioned already, the save used here is a modification of the one used in BCM17. I created it a long while back, possibly with a new movie in mind, but it didn't get used after all and I ended up forgetting about it, until now. Basically all I did is swap weapons so I'd initially have a needler and AR (instead of the sniper rifle and pistol), then I got a new delayed tunnel checkpoint. Because that involved crossing a loading point however, the rocks have been re-randomized, so that's a significant difference too.
As I recall, the main reason I haven't done any twin bridges megabattle movies for so long is that I was quite conscious of the framerate slowdown it's prone to, at least with this many personnel. However, it's still pretty good fun. More to come!
