BCM612 - Twin bridges megabattle, more tunnel fun in the trough

(6:35) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Normal. Continuing with the theme of the last movie, namely tunnel use in trough defence, I return to the same tunnel for two more fights. In the first I use a Ghost for cover, an idea I wanted to try out, then in the second I get more dynamic and rockety.

Released December 19th 2025, gameplay recorded December 16th 2025.

Commentary

00:02 (Play 1 - Using Ghost cover) Works pretty well, this Ghost cover. I snipe a succession of covies, causing a build-up of loose plasmas, and at 1:53 I throw a frag which detonates them in a big bang. Doesn't kill many covies though. There's a better death toll when I set off another big bang with a throw around 2:35.

Nearing the end, a Hunter enters my tunnel by surprise and I try to hop over him, but I'm slightly late and take a whack. Could've ended up getting killed after that, but with the aid of tree cover and a few rockets, I make it through.

03:31 (Play 2 - No cover, and more vigour) This time I forego the cover and take a more dynamic approach, including plenty of rockets and grenades along with the sniping. Double Elite kill around 4:22! That was rather lucky though. I'd been focused on the blue Elite, and the red just happened to come along and get in line with the shot. The Grunt tag around 5:21 was lucky too. He just happened to turn up as the grenade sailed towards that Jackal.

Closing remarks I believe that concludes my tunnel fun for now, but don't be surprised if you see some more sometime. Using the Shade or Banshee for cover are two more options to explore, for example.
