BCM689 - Cubby-hole Grunt, floating death anomaly
(5:38) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. If you've played AOTCR plenty of times, you've likely seen the cubby-hole Grunt do his air swimming thing before, as showcased in my last movie. But he does something else weird too, and it's actually new to me, even though I've tackled that room a gazillion times. I've quickly put together this movie to show it. Definitely one of the weirdest things I've seen in the game. Check it out!

Commentary
00:02 (First sighting) This is where I first saw the anomaly, namely on September 10th. My aim goes funny, which you can probably tell by how my plasma shots go off-target for a while, and the Grunt dies of his own accord (wasn't me), followed by air swimming.
00:52 (A clearer play, the day after) Next day when I was using the 'quieter set-up' featured in the latter part of the previous movie, I happened to get this excellent clear example. If you're wondering about the grenade, I'd been hoping he'd hop over towards the end and then get blasted into some swimming.
01:14 (Five clips from the 12th) Again using that set-up, these next five clips were obtained the next day, when I had a short spell specifically going for the anomaly. They're actually shown here in chronological order, and the first three were obtained within the span of just five minutes. I was trying various things. Incidentally, the 'anti-aim' effect is something I recognized from work with frozen covies, such as in the context of Elite fireworks.
02:33 (Orange guy, on the 14th) From here on, I'm using another set-up where things are safe, but this time there are still some Grunts present providing chatter and so on, plus I haven't killed the music (I'll be doing a tutorial on this sort of set-up shortly). I got these clips in the span of about 90 minutes.
Closing remarks So, a mysterious business! I may well come bqck to it later, but this will do for now. And of course, I'll certainly cover it in the cubby-hole Grunt article I expect to put together soon.
