BCM557 - Pyramid descent fight x2, featuring shotty & Banshee
(7:29) Level 8 ('Two Betrayals') on Heroic. Continuing with the custom pyramid descent fight set-up seen in the last movie, here are two more plays. The first is shotty-centric (shotty & plasma rifle), and for the second I go aerial. And I must say, the flying in this area is glorious.

Commentary
00:02 (Shotgun & plasma rifle) This turned out to be a highly enjoyable weapon combo, and one way I was having fun with it was to dish out some plasma, then deliver the finish with a close-up shotty blast. The best example of that comes early (0:18), with the blue Elite on the forecourt.
I really got into this shotty use. Must do some more of it!
02:57 (Banshee) Using the Banshee is a whole lot of fun in this fight, and the area is great for flying around in. With this being Heroic, I have to be a bit standoffish as the Banshee would otherwise smoke up fast, but I still manage a few close encounters.
Around 4:18 I fly back to check whether I got both of the Elites in path group 2, as I'd only heard one Elite death cry earlier. But yes, there's nobody left there. Actually I should've known that I'd got both Elites, because after my first blast around 3:38, there was so much blood on the ground that it couldn't have come just from the Jackal who'd been my target.
Around 4:38 I break off from attacking path group 3. The Elites are in such a dark area there, it's not easy to even see them. I decided to just go on and trigger the snow group, knowing that the remnants of path group 3 would be triggered to head down the slope.
I almost get blown up when near the ground after killing a retreated path group 3 Elite around 5:46, due to the arrival of further Elites. But I manage to escape with one Banshee health bar left, after which I need to take extra care.
Incidentally, there was actually a Grunt still left at the end. It was the final path group 3 Grunt (whose buddy I blasted around 4:36), and he'd taken up station at the entrance to the bottom tunnel. Found him when I flew back to that side later. Well, never mind. I'm still claiming victory!
In case you're wondering, the checkpoint at the end was delayed from when I triggered the snow troops in the Banshee.
Closing remarks Another two plays coming next!
