BCM566 - Pyramid megabattle, another two plays

(6:43) Level 8 ('Two Betrayals') on Normal. Here are my final two plays in this series of ten using a particular pyramid megabattle save. The first involves initially using a door, and for the second I take to the air to do some serious swooping!

Commentary

00:02 (Play 1 - Door attack) I had the idea of going through this door and then attacking from the passage. Turned out to be a nice plan, leading to excellent action. This particular play gets a nice start when the gold growls at me at point-blank range, and I blast him with the shotty.

Up at the bridge around 2:16, my flying causes a fuel rod Grunt to dive off. Haven't often seen that; usually it's the Elites who do the diving.

The subsequent end of the play is something I had in mind, namely to drop onto the spine, blow the Wraith with plasma grenades, then get the Grunts with needles, including getting at least one of them by firing as I descended. Thought that last bit would make a nice spectacular ending.

03:11 (Play 2 - Banshee) I thought a Banshee play would be a good way to end this long sequence of plays. The flying in this area is so glorious. A highlight comes around 4:58 when I make the bridge Elites dive off, then kill them.

A little later (around 5:30) I catch sight of the gold, way out on his own, and I finally take him out of the picture. All the while, I'd been doing my best to avoid exposing the Banshee to heavy plasma fire, and that especially means watching out for the gold of course.

Closing remarks Actually, I'd originally been expecting to just do eight plays for this save. BCM565 was going to finish off with this last Banshee play. But then I started trying out two ideas I had, namely for the 'tree attack' and 'door attack', and I found myself quickly getting excellent action. So I rejigged the planned sequence to include both ideas, and still finish off with the Banshee play.
