BCM572 - 38-covie glasshouse battle x3, rocket launcher & AR

(6:44) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Legendary. Last time I was doing glasshouse battle movies, I was using an excellent 38-covie set-up. I return to that set-up now for further movies. In this first dose of carnage I use a rocket launcher and assault rifle, a glorious combo for this battle (last seen in BCM437, if you want more after watching this).

Released May 1st 2025, gameplay recorded April 27th-29th 2025.

Commentary

00:02 (Play 1 - Going right) A nice start here, clearing the entire right hand side in a few seconds. Two red Elites are dealt with shortly after, the second of whom goes up onto the surrounding shelf. Not sure if my attempted tag connected, but at any rate the blast takes him out. A third red turns up and gets a rocket, then a novel tag as I descend from the shelf.

After briefly attacking the glasshouse contingent through a side opening, I almost get into trouble with a pair of Jackals who could've shredded my health in just a few seconds, but I quickly get one of them tagged, and manage to back off without health loss.

Not long after, I do get into trouble when Grunts combine to reduce me to my last health bar. You can't underestimate those guys here! Luckily I get away with it, and go on to victory. Nice scene of slaughter in the glasshouse, right at the end.

01:55 (Play 2 - Start zone) This time my initial work involves a lot of movement in the vicinity of the start zone, opening with a cheeky raid into the inner area, then quickly clearing a load of Grunts on the right so things will be safer if I have to retreat there later. I subsequently do good work taking down a succession of four Elites. In fact, during this whole opening so far, my shield took only a few minor hits. A lot of that is down to having anticipated the approaching Elites plus a few minor covies.

04:08 (Play 3 - Going left) The start of this left-side attack features an entertaining but very high-risk strategy, in which I was trying to take down a sequence of four Elites mostly using close-range tagging and evasive movement. Goes well on this occasion, with three reds being taken out that way, then the blue getting different treatment. After that, I manage to consolidate with good work against attacks from various Grunts and Jackals before advancing deeper.

Closing remarks Hopefully you found that an entertaining start. More battles coming soon!
