BCM564 - Pyramid megabattle, another two plays
(7:27) Level 8 ('Two Betrayals') on Normal. Two more plays of that same pyramid megabattle save, as I continue to demonstrate some of the possibilities. The first play features a rather perilous perch, while the second is more conventional and includes some shotty work.

00:02 (Play 1 - Spine top fun) The megabattle offers various perch options, and here's a nice precarious example, up on the spine top! After dealing with the fuel rod Grunts and the Wraith, plus a path Jackal who can send plasma balls up, things become safer and I enjoy some long-range mischief with the bridge troops. After that, it's a case of using up my sadly meagre sniper ammo and firing some rockets.
The Banshee gets blown down by the Wraith fire (by its first incoming shot in fact; you see the yellow dot on the tracker, and there's a klunk when it lands), but it's no problem. I'd already learnt a good way of cushioning my fall using the sloping side of one of the tall structures below.
See that Jackal in the tunnel apparently not even feeling the nearby Banshee blast, around 3:21? Similar to the incident in BCM562. Odd phenomenon confirmed.
04:17 (Play 2 - Lower path start) In that previous play, some or all of the five path group 3 guys had come back up the path some way, owing to my position. That same dynamic is seen again at the start of this play, but this time I'm on the path ready to meet them.
Later on around 6:27, there's an amusing incident where the red Elite on the bridge dives off and ends up part way down the side of the spine. I've seen Elites end up there a few times now.
Closing remarks In regard to the spine top business, actually I got killed quite a few times trying that stuff. Usually it was due to the Wraith blasting me off, or sometimes scoring a direct hit. But the fuel rod Grunts were serious hazards too, and the Jackal on the left was a regular irritant, which is why on this play, I took the opportunity to snipe him early on. In producing good candidate plays for the movie, I was trying to strike a balance. On the one hand I wanted a lot of incoming fuel rod and Wraith shots for drama and spectacle, but on the other hand I had to cross my fingers that none of them killed me!
Gave up on trying to keep this double play under seven minutes. When you get into long-range attacking and mischief like in that first play, battles do tend to take a bit longer than usual. Such plays are also not very battle-like really, but I wanted to show something like this as one of the megabattle's possibilities.
