BCM595 - Spiral path megabattle, four more clutter plays
(7:04) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. Concluding my run of movies on the spiral path megabattle's 'rear attack' battle plan, here are four more plays with my cluttered rear attack set-up, including the return of the Scorpion!

Commentary
00:02 (Banshee; grenades & Ghost) A rather spectacular grenade blitz here, which almost wipes out the trapped mob! A spot of Ghost work deals with the leftovers.
01:23 (Ghost; needler & pistol) Back to some hard graft now, with lots of needling, including a spell up on the rock. Around 3:00 I get into some dangerous close-up work against some minor covies plus the Hunters. After a Hunter catches me with a whack, I soon go down to my last health bar. But I stick at it, and with some good manoeuvring I get through it.
On emerging from the pass I suffer a power outage with the plasma pistol I'd picked up earlier, but a frag takes care of the two Jackals nicely.
04:00 (Banshee; launcher & pistol) When I created the set-up, I specifically put the turret where I could potentially launch into the covies. On this play I use the Banshee to do that, something I wanted to show in this movie sequence. After that I get busy with the rocket launcher, and eventually finish things with a little Banshee work.
I also took a pistol into battle, but ended up not even using it. Easily done, when you've got a rocket launcher to play with!
05:29 (Banshee; tank) We already had a tank play at the end of BCM593, but here's another, this time preceded by a few high grenades. I wanted at least one of those to blast the Banshee line open. Doesn't work as well as I wanted, but one of the Banshees does get shifted.
The best tank blast comes shortly after 6:13 when a Grunt is about to throw a plasma my way. The blast sends his plasma skywards, denying him a victory. But there's also quite a nice blast as I emerge from the pass, catching a load of Grunts.
In the closing phase of the battle, one of the Marines gets splattered by the tank, but what kind of idiot goes running near a tank when it's engaging in battle manoeuvres? You stay well clear!
Closing remarks I've certainly had great fun with the rear attack battle plan, as showcased in these last five movies. I have further plans for it too, so expect to see more. But that'll have to wait a while.
