Compilation 31 includes a cornered Elite, a hot needler, and a narrow escape!

(5:32) Various levels and difficulties. My 31st 'freakiness and fun' compilation shows 15 freaky or amusing incidents, many of which occurred while recording footage for my usual movies - so you may recognize some of the situations.

00:02 (Quick return) I was going for a dramatic ascent up the cliff face here, but got too close. The Banshee skims the rock and I'm ejected. March 2020 footage from when I was recording for BCM414. Level 5, Heroic.

00:24 (Plasma surprise) When attempting long-range tags of this Grunt, there were a few times when the grenade hit his needler and froze in mid-air. This was my favourite example. Quite a surprise for the Grunt! October 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM383. Level 2, Heroic.

00:45 (Cornered Elite) Playing a save used for BCM419, which I'd just released, I backtracked and found that there was an Elite trapped in an alcove by my Warthog. Looked amusing, and I played around with the situation a bit. This was my favourite take. April 2020 footage. Level 4, Easy.

01:14 (Bad cyborg x2) Two nice snipes here. The second one is similar to one in the final clip of BCM411. August 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM373. Level 2, Heroic.

01:47 (Intercepted) Just after trying to blast an Elite falling from the bridge, I get a nasty shock when my Banshee is blown out of the sky. Flew right into a Wraith shot, oops! March 2020 footage from when I was recording for BCM414. Level 5, Heroic.

01:50 (Grunt overboard) When I drive my Ghost at a Grunt, he dives off the cliff and survives the landing (making a cute cry on impact). Doesn't fare so well against my rocket though. March 2020 footage from when I was recording for BCM416. Level 8, Legendary.

02:22 (Give and take) An amusing little exchange with a hostile Marine. June 2018 footage from when I was recording for BCM290. Level 2, Heroic.

02:46 (Hot needler) Did you realise that weapons will spin when close to fire? Here's some old footage of that, which I'd been holding back because I thought I might do an entire movie on the topic. Not sure I will though. September 2015 footage. Level 10, Easy.

03:07 (Cliffhanger) There's a clip similar to this in BCM311, but here the hog is teetering on the edge for much longer. I was trying for that, just for fun. Got some good rubble going there too! October 2018 footage from when I was recording for BCM311. Level 2, Heroic.

03:42 (Unexpected grenade) When your Banshee is clipped into the bridge like this, it doesn't normally get targeted. But in this case there's a plasma throw after about 5 seconds, which really surprised me. I also had a similar case where the throw came about 8 seconds after I'd clipped in. 04:02 (Pass-through tag) A fortuitous double tag, in which the second plasma passes through the side of the ship and gets the Elite by chance. That grenade was actually just intended to tag the ship; but you do get pass-through like this occasionally. October 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM384. Level 2, Heroic.

04:19 (Line up) In connection with the Grunt-Jackal spawning trick, here's an old clip involving masses of bodies, mainly Grunts. I held this clip back as I was thinking I might do a movie focusing on body fun such as this (you can get some great piles). But I'm not sure I'll get to that, so here's the clip. 04:39 (Hi-rise) Here I was trying to board the hog and travel across the valley to end up on the opposite hilltop (see BCM381), which I've been wanting to drive around on. But instead I got shunted high. Nice view! December 2019 footage. Level 2, Heroic.

04:54 (Narrow escape) On this attempt at the Warthog stunt jump, I go too far left and drive along the side wall. At the end when I need to cross a shorter gap, I have a narrow escape, courtesy of a freaky bounce off some metalwork. April 2020 footage from when I was recording for BCM424. Level 10, Heroic.

05:12 (One last throw) Here's the oldest clip in the movie. I was holding this back, thinking to maybe do a whole movie about Grunts throwing as they fall from the bridge. But maybe I won't get to that after all, so here's the clip. February 2011 footage from when I was recording for BCM29. Level 5, Heroic.
