Commentary

00:02 (Tower corner) Here's a new battle plan for the rear mob. After drawing them away from the back door somewhat, so most of them will approach from the desired direction, I land at the tower corner to try and hold out there. The Banshee provides a bit of cover for a while, but soon gets blown out of position when I mess up a frag throw (the frag bounces off the Banshee instead of going past it).

Some covies end up attacking me from the other direction, having come through the tower. But from experience, I was expecting that and was ready for it. Of course, I could've prevented that dynamic by spending longer drawing covies the right way at the start; but I didn't want to slow things up that much, and in any case a two-sided attack can be enjoyable.

01:49 (Shadow area) In this battle in the shadow area, I initially draw the covies away from my planned landing spot to give me a better chance of survival, because things would otherwise be a bit too tough. In fact I also blast both of the Hunters, again to give me a better chance.

03:08 (Passage assault) I've done passage assaults before (see BCM477 for example), but here's another. Good intense fun. And rather dangerous, needless to say!

04:16 (Shade slope) In this battle plan I draw the covies around the corner of the tower and defend on the Shade slope. To help ensure that neither of the Hunters get left behind (one of them was otherwise quite susceptible to that), I dawdle a bit when getting the rocket launcher, giving them longer to get on my tail. The covies get two Ghosts to use, but as you can see, I set the second one up as something of a trap. Just as it's getting boarded, I send in a rocket.

A Shade slope defence like this was previously featured in BCM460 but using a different set-up, and in that case I was using a pistol and needler.

06:01 (Bottleneck) To finish, here's some excellent carnage at the Shade plateau bottleneck. I use the Banshee for a bit of cover, and after a while it gets blown high when loose grenades go off.

Closing remarks Okay, that's all from the rear mob for now. At this point they're completely fed up of being slaughtered. But don't be surprised if you see them again sometime!
