Commentary
00:02 (Cancelled evac) While checking on something in this survivor area, I happened to get a checkpoint after which I noticed that a sniper and Stacker were sometimes being very hesitant to board the Pelican. I started having fun taking advantage of the delay, trying to tag folk to foil the evacuation. In this case, three tags do the job. August 2019 footage. Level 2, Easy.
00:25 (Bozo collateral) At the end of this mob battle, the last remaining Marine wanders up to the Wraith I'm busy taking care of and becomes collateral damage when I blast it at close range. Dang fool! My Banshee was too close as well though, taking damage from the blast. May 2019 footage. Level 5, Heroic.
00:42 (Twitchy Elite) An Elite goes twitchy on the bridge when standing over my Banshee, and I get the camera moved in for a good close look. Eventually I fire a fuel rod shot for fun and get killed. You can see some similar twitching in BCM330. February 2019 footage. Level 5, Heroic.
01:02 (Suspended Ghost) Back when I'd been up on the bridge, I'd rocketed this Ghost and it had evidently settled on the nearby rock, although I can't remember if I noticed. Now though, that rock has become smaller (it got randomized when I crossed the loading point in the exit passage), hence the Ghost appears to be unsupported. This clip is just one take I recorded, having (unplanned) got a checkpoint just prior to the loading point. An amusing aspect in this take is that a Grunt dives to avoid the falling Ghost after I've rocketed it. May 2019 footage. Level 5, Legendary.
01:38 (Wheely odd) While working on BCM368 I noticed an odd phenomenon you could get when a wheel got trapped on one side of this wall. I subsequently recorded this take for use in my 'freakiness and fun' series. At some angles the wheel area blinks out of visibility, though I'm still able to jump on top of it. Even when visible, the wheel area acts absent in regard to shooting or tagging. Incidentally, you don't always get this vanishing phenomenon when you trap the wheel. I think it depends on the hog's angle. July 2019 footage. Level 4, Heroic.
02:18 (Somersault tag) An amusing snippet of mob battle play. My rocket somersaults the Ghost and I tag it as it passes. May 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM355. Level 5, Heroic.
02:32 (Hot tin roof) Playing 'Shark' at the first bridge, a Grunt gets on the Banshee roof but then appears to spontaneously die in dramatic fashion. I think this was really a case of dive death, similar to what happens in the 5:02 clip in BCM330. January 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM330. Level 5, Heroic.
02:47 (Good news, bad news) Bit of a mess-up here. I successfully tag both of the newly spawned Banshees, but then fall off the cliff while watching them. Silly cyborg. August 2018 footage from when I was recording for BCM302. Level 2, Easy.
03:10 (Trick shot trooper) At the end of a mob battle the Wraith appears to get vaporized by some Marine AR fire. What really happened is that while I was briefly looking away, the game removed the destroyed Wraith and associated junk (pilot and dropped supplies). Removals don't usually happen so fast of course, but in this case I guess the game was really feeling the strain. The Wraith was removed even before the blast graphic had finished! May 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM357. Level 5, Heroic.
03:38 (Displaced glass) You might need headphones to properly appreciate this, but the second glass breaking noise seems to come from a place far removed from the bridge (it's 'displaced' from the bridge; that's what the clip title alludes to). Anomalous and mysterious. As for the cause of the breakage though, I expect a Jackal on the upper deck was spooked by the approaching Banshee and released a plasma ball. January 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM329. Level 5, Heroic.
03:50 (Death by prong) Cyborg death doesn't get much more nasty than this. Ouch! July 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM366. Level 4, Heroic.
04:05 (Wall Shade) In the course of creating a mob battle set-up, I blasted this Shade and it ended up on the wall, though I didn't notice at the time. I assume the Grunt boarded later. When I eventually noticed the amusing configuration, I did multiple takes to get a good clip. In this one I manage to pull off not one but two rocket hits on the Grunt. April 2019 footage. Level 5, Heroic.
04:42 (Air splat) Just an amusing Ghost pilot splatter during a mob battle. April 2019 footage from when I was recording for BCM350. Level 5, Heroic.
05:00 (Make your mind up Johnson) Here's another take of the situation which began the movie. Johnson twice complains about me killing his men, but then when I snipe Stacker he says "Nice shot!" I guess they weren't buddies. August 2019 footage. Level 2, Easy.
Closing remarks I've had a version of this movie sitting around for quite a while now, but held it back while covering Warthog catapulting. Having finished the coastal plateau fun, I figured I'd finally get it out. I managed to squeeze one extra clip into it though, namely the 'Somersault tag' clip.
